Term 2 Reading Profile

For reading we made a another reading profile. We had to include: our Reading Plus goals for this term, a new author we have  tried, a book series someone recommended to me and a book series I have enjoyed.

M alliteration poem

For writing we had to make a poem based on F is For Fox by Carol Ann Duffy. We made a poem like F is For Fox but we used m instead of f.


M is for Mannequin, Moon and Max

Max marched to the movies.
Watching a posed mannequin stand motionlessly.

Magical mysteriousness managed to happen
 As the mannequin came to life.

Magical medicine shins in the mixing bowl

And matching the magical medicine colour.

Max marched to the moon.

Trying to manage to escape the mimicking mad mannequin.

The mannequin marched after max matching his every step.

Moon rocks fall to the misty ground.

The moon rocks fall

Missing max and the mannequin by a mosquitoes length.

Magic mist turned a flat moon into a muddy meadow.

Max mastered martial arts making the mannequin seem harmless. 

Max attacked the now motionless mannequin.

The mannequin was mangled motionlessly.



“Mannequin be gone”

Angle Indicator

For maths Room five has been learning about angles. There are five types of angles acute angles, right angles, obtuse angles, straight angles and reflex angles. We made an angle indicator to make angles. Then we made a screencastify.

Descriptive Sentence

In the school holidays we had to make a google drawing, with a descriptive sentence from a book we have read. My sentence is from Gangsta Granny by David Walliams.

Global Warming

We had to make a DLO about global warming. Once we finished our slide we made a screencastify. Our slide-show is What is Global Warming?


 

Haiku

We had to create a Haiku. A Haiku is a short poem made of five syllables, in the first line seven syllables, in the second and five again in the last line.

Swimming lessons

We had to fill in a reflection about swimming lessons this term. We had swimming lesson every Monday and Wednesday.
